Very nice model, better than any Squire, and much cheaper!
Very nice woods and details.
A Item.
About the Music Store service, all 5 stars, very fast shipping and all items
very well protected.
Im very satisfied and will buy again.
I bought this J&D jazz 1970s copy after buying it's sister bass, the 1963 fiesta red copy of a P bass.
I used this bass on a gig as soon as I received it and the rest of the band were blown away with the sounds and looks of it. Admittedly I replaced the strings with a new set of Half Wounds which improved the sounds and fitted a pair of ashtrays just for looks. I love playing this bass. It is so light compared to the real thing.
The High gloss , maple fretboard feels so smooth, far better than the Squire bass and the black, block fretboard inlays make it stand out from the rest of the band.
As far as the company, Musicstore, I am so impressed with their service. So friendly. Where could you find service like that in Britain? I ordered it on the Tuesday and it was delivered to my door on Friday morning, and so well packed. This is the third guitar I have bought from Musicstore and it certainly will not be the last.
I can not recommend this instrument enough. If you are looking for a bass to practice with or to play in a band. Go for it.
This one is my first Bass.
I really like the Fender´s and this one is a "clone".
Have an amazing aspect, look really nice.
I like the wood and the looks.
I recommend this bass to learn.
The sound with the bridge pickup or the neck pickup is almost the same.... I dunno is is me that I am a Newbie and cant notice the difference , but is very little the difference between pickups.
It fret sounds a little but that is my problem I think because i am newbie and havent yet enough force in my finger to press hard the strings.
The price/performance ratio is amazing. You wont find any better for such a good price. Really simple to work on and has a good sound. Perfect choice for begginers or to have a second bass choice. Also, a really beautiful design is always good.
Firstly, it looks great, and I think it might be better to buy cheap basses without paint because it's just easier to produce and there are less possibilities for defects.
Secondly, it is crafted very well - frets are comfortable, though some of them above 12th fret are a little bit sharp. There is also a little chunking of strings on some frets, but it isn't criticall, so you can play both just fingers and slap.
I've had experience with the cheap basses, and feel of this one is certainly better than of those. I also played on mid-range basses, and, except pickups and better fretboard, those feel pretty much equal to this.
All in all, I would certainly recommmend to buy it for learning the bass or just to have a bass for the recording.
