The Tama MBSS55BN-SGR Starclassic Performer Snare 14" x 5.5" Smoky Grey is a limited edition snare from the Starclassic Performer series with black nickel hardware and Evans heads. The excellent shell is made in hybrid construction and consists of 6 plies and 6 mm (4 plies birch + 2 inner plies maple). By combining the two woods, the Starclassic Hybridshell offers the clear projection of birch, which blends perfectly with the deep warmth of maple. The cast hoop and the Starclassic lugs focus the sound and the proven MCS70 pickup can be finely adjusted. The Tama Starclassic snare is visually rounded off by the modern lacquer finish, which harmonises perfectly with the black hardware.
