The Carl Martin AC-Tone Single is the single-channel version of the original AC-Tone from the Pro Series, optimized for use on pedalboards. Equipped with three knobs and a switch, the AC-Tone offers a beefed-up gain range and features the same British sonic attitude of the prototype as well as the Cut control, which allows for smooth attenuation of the treble content. The efficiency depending on the drive setting is enormous and allows for adaptation to different pickup types and playing styles. The special feature of the internal DC-DC converter circuit allows operation with a conventional 9V DC power supply and still works internally with a voltage of 12 volts. This is necessary for the high-quality components that deliver the intense character and large headroom in the tradition of the successful Pro model.
