The absorber plate ensures a better hold for the speaker which in turn prevents recoil movements and also substantially minimises resonance between the speaker and its base. With the monitor speaker having more stability, the sound is vastly improved providing an accurate bass response, clear mids and pristine highs.

Quality is not superb, but what you expect for this price? Pad is very heavy, thick, stabe and not spippery.
Be ready it has size 330 (wide)x265(depth)mm, so you need to use with wide and not deep speakers (or use for small speaker placed aflat). Also you can not rotate pad to use with deep speaker, because pad has angle of 5 degrees. For deep speakers youd better choose MSI-140 (which is flat).
