The Fame Audio Orbital 205S is a compact nearfield monitor for use in all production steps in the modern recording studio. As a model with 5.25" woofer it is suitable for recording and editing as well as audio production in smaller monitoring environments. As a studio loudspeaker, it is especially designed for the undistorted output of the entire frequency spectrum.
Despite its small diaphragm size, the Orbital 205S achieves remarkably deep bass response and sufficient sound levels for relaxed working and music listening, while always guaranteeing a pleasant, unstressed listening experience.
Due to the extremely low manufacturing tolerances and high signal fidelity, it is fully qualified for professional use and is also ideally suited for multi-channel setups in Dolby Surround and Atmos formats.
As with all models in the Orbital series, special emphasis was placed on high-quality components: The woofer drivers made of polypropylene provide a fast, crisp response in the bass and fundamental range. The careful selection of the driver has made it possible to achieve a particularly pronounced midrange reproduction, which is particularly the critical range between 200 and 400Hz.

The active crossover was developed with special care, so that the area around the crossover frequency at 2.7 kHz remains completely transparent and highly resolved. Especially the overtone spectrum of e.g. electric guitars or woodwinds is transmitted naturally and unaltered.
For a special focus on the bass range and higher listening levels, the larger models of the Orbital series, 207S and 208S, are available with their 6.5" and 8" woofers.
