The Guild X-175 Manhattan Antique Sunburst is a classically built hollowbody electric guitar that is just as convincing in the traditional jazz environment as it is in blues or rock'n'roll. The electric guitar has a full-resonance laminated maple body and a glued neck, while the Guild Franz P-90 Single Coils amplifier provides lively sounds between clean and crunch. The Guild Manhattan is completed by indestructible vintage style hardware.
The Guild X-175 Manhattan Antique Sunburst is a classically built hollowbody electric guitar for jazz, blues and rock'n'roll.
A traditionally built hollow body electric guitar, the Guild X-175 Manhattan has a full resonance body with laminated maple back and sides, on which a laminated spruce top swings. Accordingly, this Jazzbox has a sonorous basic sound with a warm wooden character. On the "Vintage Soft U"-profile of the glued neck made of three parts maple and mahogany, every barrel, no matter how complex, easily goes out of hand.
The Guild X-175 Manhattan Antique Sunburst features two Guild Franz P90 single coil pickups in the neck and bridge position. Equipped with classic Alnico 5 magnets and a moderate output, these pickups deliver a warm yet transparent sound at the amplifier that captures the resonance of the hollow body construction. With their lively dynamics, the pickups also implement every playful nuance in detail. The proven layout with a 3-way switch and a volume and tone control for each pickup is available for control.
The equipment of the Guild X-175 Manhatten is completed by classical hardware, whose unmistakable vintage style underlines the elegant look of the guitar. The body of the strings is guided accordingly by the stylish Guild tailpiece over a height-adjustable rosewood bridge, which contributes significantly to the sound character of the guitar. Thanks to the compensated string support, a clean intonation is guaranteed. From the bridge, the strings span a classic 24.75" scale (628 mm) before they run over the headstock of the bone saddle to the precise Grover Sta-Tite tuners with open gears.
