The Kawai Novus NV10 Hybrid Digital Piano is the flagship of Kawai digital pianos. It impresses by its high-quality workmanship and a lot of features. These include the Millenium III Hybrid grand piano keyboard with mechanical damper system, pianist mode with SK-EX rendering sound generation, a 5" touch screen and Onkyo audio hardware.
The keyboard mechanism of the Kawai Novus NV10 Hybrid digital piano is almost identical to the Millenium III mechanism of the acoustic Kawai grand pianos. Only the felt hammer heads were replaced by ABS Carbon. For the first time, the mechanical influence of the damping pedal on the weighting of the hybrid piano keyboard has also been realized. As with a real concert grand, the weight of the piano becomes lighter when the left foot pedal is used.
Kawai's new Pianist Mode provides for the first time high-resolution multi-channel sampling of all 88 keys in combination with the latest resonance modelling technology. This system uses the entire DSP power for piano sound generation. The multi-channel sampling contains the sound of the Shigeru Kawai concert grand SK-EX, which was recorded from several positions. This allows a wider range of sound characteristics to be reproduced, enabling more vivid, authentic sound changes during dynamic playing.
Kawai has developed a completely new operating concept for the Novus NV10 Hybrid digital piano. The Hybrid digital piano has a high-resolution 5" touch screen with an intuitively designed user interface.
The Kawai Novus NV10 Hybrid digital piano is equipped with special components for high-end audio reproduction, developed in cooperation with Onkyo, one of Japan's leading premium audio manufacturers. These include 1-bit processing, dual DAC signal conversion, DIDRC filtering and the Discrete Spectra module.
Bluetooth MIDI and Bluetooth Audio technology enables wireless communication with smartphones or tablets. Once paired with a smartphone, tablet or other device, a large selection of music-related apps can be conveniently used in conjunction with the instrument. Even audio files from mobile devices can be played wirelessly via the speakers of the Kawai Novus NV10 via Bluetooth audio coupling.
