The Meyer BA-2 M7M Rubber Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece is a rubber mouthpiece with 2.06mm top opening and medium length track. Producing a full round tone, this mouthpiece is great for jazz players.
The main features of the Meyer BA-2 M7M Rubber Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece include:
Excellent mouthpiece and one of the least expensive in the selection of mouthpieces. Needed a slight mod to the table to get it perfectly flat (sadly this seems to be a typical JJ Babbitt issue with their manufacturing process) but 8 or 9 passes with a ReedGeek flattened it in 4 places and i now get an excellent 'pop' through reed vacuum.
I've played many mouthpieces on alto, from the starter Yamaha 4C to the expensive Wanne Gaia 2. The Meyer (and my Syos - again needing work to flatten the table !) are my best 2 mouthpieces.
