Procp Rat 2
Distortion pedal with fuzz character
The Pro Co Sound RAT 2 Distortion Pedal L.E.D on/off indicator, heavy duty casing. From the sweet wail of the blues to the grinding raunch of the heaviest metal—STOMP ON A RAT.
The Pro Co Sound RAT 2 is designed to produce a sound that is radically different from any "distortion" you've ever heard before. A sound as mellow as a vintage "twin", or as bone-crushingly powerful as a battery of those famous English stacks, is yours instantly, at any volume. Smooth, continuously variable controls for distortion amount, filter cutoff and volume level let you preset just the right degree of overdrive, tune in on the presence without tinny treble, and balance the output for that perfect extra boost. The RAT 2's smooth harmonic distortion puts the extra punch in rhythm work and makes solos cut through with authority, power and effortless sustain.
The main features of the Pro Co Sound RAT 2 include:
- Mellow as a vintage "twin", or as bone-crushingly powerful as a battery of English stacks
- Smooth harmonic distortion puts the extra punch in rhythm work and makes solos cut through with authority, power and effortless sustain
- Variable distortion amount, filter cut-off, and volume controls
- Luminescent control graphics and LED indicators keep things visible in the dark
- Simple-to-use "no tools required" battery compartment
- The RAT 2 is built for the abuse and neglect of life on the road

I am reviewing the recent RAT 2 (made in china)
Three knobs: Distortion (Gain), Filter (Tone) and Volume. 9v battery / AC is centre positive (not Boss-compatible). Red led when on.
Sound of this absolutely classic! Very versatile stompbox with a wide spectrum of sounds. And of course it has its own character.
Think Ill keep this pedal in my board.

Three controls Distortion, Filter, Volume and a switch. Simple pedal but hours of fun!
From dirty, thick to warm, crunching distortions, i have found a perfect setting for any style and sounds much ballsier than my Roland DS-1.
Permanent fixture on my board

simple effects unit with in and out. Takes 5V adapter (not included) or 9v battery. Heavy and feels good quality.

Fan of the 80s tone? Love crunch? You play a Marshall? Then this is for you! this one you either love or hate. It has a distinctive sound but knowing how many artists have used this one its safe to say its good!
It has extreme amounts of distortion so i usually run it pretty low just to add some bite to a Marshall thats running pretty hot. However being a metal player my favorite application for this pedal is actually some dirty blues playing. It sounds amazing.
Amps used: JCM900 MKIII 2500, DSL15H with G12T-75 Speakers, EMG Pickups and DiMarzion Pickups
