For example, plug the 5 Pin side into any MIDI input jack and plug your A/C adaptor into the input located by the 5-Pin MIDI plug. Plug the 7-Pin side into your MIDI footcontroller. So what did I think? Yeah, lets simplify all of that: lets put everything neatly in a rack and control it with MIDI! Get a midi pedalboard, midi looper, and all...and its not that simpler :( in fact, its a mess...and whats worse, its not even that neat if you have to have even a power cable coming along with the midi cable! Because in fact only major multiprocessor supply power to your midi pedalboard...fortunately at least rocktron has thought that one might have that need! Its not extremely cheap for a MIDI cable, and its definitely longer than anyone can possibly need (9 meters!!! But can keep it partly rolled in the back, so who cares), but at least then you get one thing only (your foot controller) moving around, not a 12 kgs pedalboard =D
