The sE Electronics sE5 Pair is a stereo pair of small-diaphragm condenser microphones equipped with hand-built capsules offering a smooth sound for accurately recording acoustic instruments.
The sE Electronics sE5 microphone takes its influence from its successful predecessors, the sE1 and sE4, but differs from these models thanks to a re-designed gold-sputtered capsule, providing a smoother frequency response, making it more suitable for a wider array of recording applications.
Each sE5 features a 100Hz bass cut and both -10dB and -20dB pads, meaning it can be used to record louder sound sources such as guitar amp speakers.
As a stereo pair, the sE5s are perfectly suited to recording drums from the overhead position and the full sonic spectrum of a piano. Additionally, the sE5s are designed to work brilliantly when recording stringed instruments including guitars, violins and cellos.
The sE Electronics sE5 Matched Pair comes with two shock mounts and a high-quality flight case, making them easy to take out on the road. The sE5s are compatible with the sE Electronics IRF Instrument Reflexion Filter and the sE Electronics Stand 1.
