The unique Tama Silverstar CocktailJam VI46CBC in Crystal Ice is the first Cocktail Jam Set made of acrylic. The advantages are obvious: linear and dry sound with a lot of attack and of course the sensational look make this compact set a real highlight for drummers of every style. The Cocktail Jam Set is a full-fledged drum set that folds up extremely compactly and is therefore perfect for street music, carnival music and galas. Despite the short shells, the sound is very powerful and crisp. In contrast to pure cocktail drumsets it is played sitting down and is in no way inferior to "normal" drumsets - except for the size!
As the name suggests, this unconventional instrument is a kind of a hybrid kit. At first glance it looks like a cocktail set, but on closer inspection it turns out to be a small drum set in which everything essential is cleverly placed in a minimum of space. The Silverstar Cocktail Jam Kit is played like a normal drum set in a sitting position and contains a surprisingly full and harmonious sounds. Thanks to the acrylic shells, the sound is particularly linear and powerful with plenty of projection and dry attack. The bass drum is equipped with an Evans Emad head, for deep and massive sound with a high bass portion.
The BassDrum with the dimensions 16 "x6" is directed upwards like a cocktail kit and is operated with an appropriate pedal. Thanks to an ingenious design, consisting of three rods attached to the BassDrum shell, which act both as spacers and as a rack, the 12" x5" snare drum and the 10" x5" tom can be positioned as desired with the supplied clamps. Only the Floor Tom is firmly fixed between the poles and provides, in addition to two robust legs provided with rubber feet and the stable pedal holding device, a bombproof stand.
All elements of the Silverstar Cocktail Jam Kit can be easily and quickly inserted into each other thanks to the modest shell sizes and heads only on one side (except for the Snare) and thus finds space in only one single bag. Only the hardware parts have to be stored separately in a second bag, which is also included in the scope of delivery. Spread over two bags, the Silverstar Cocktail Jam Kit can be easily transported from A to B and is ready for use in just a few easy steps.
