When my passion for mixing became something bigger than just a hobby I needed to buy monitors (because before that I’ve used hi-fi acoustics though of good quality). After long reflection I set my choice on Tannoy reveal 502. My attention to these monitors was drawn by the lack of the frills in them and by the absence of negative feedback, plus their characteristic is quite good for the price. I ordered the monitors with pads as a set which is a very good bargain. I recommend to all to search for products in sets on musicstore.de.
My first impression of Tannoy reveal 502 after I had my previous acoustics replaced by them was as if I had removed earplugs from my ears. The sound in these monitors is very clear and detailed. All nuances and defects of my mixes are heard. Probably, if you mix electronic music you’ll feel the lack of sub bass – but this isn’t my case.
There’s a high frequency switch on the back panel – you can leave it neutral or boost/cut the high frequency. Personally I cut it. I like the design of the monitors. Phase inverters are at the front so you can put the monitors closer to the wall to use the space of the room sparingly.
As for the drawbacks, there’s little noise in tweeters which, however, doesn’t interfere with the mixing process at all. And if it does interfere – just look at the price of these monitors and stop complaining, they are perfect for their price.

Great sound quality
Good and flat frequency response
Robust construction
Was taken aback by their lows and the clarity of the highs
Front port good for close-to-wall setups
My only gripe with these is the amp hiss when idle which can be annoying when sitting too close to the speakers, but it's something I got used to.

за свою цену конкурентов практически нет.
звук яркий, открытый и чистый, неприятным моментом оказался фон в состоянии покоя, но не критично.
отличное качество, приемлемая цена, четко и оперативно отработанный заказ. Спасибо за работу!
