The MJC1 Modern Jazz Drum Sticks from Vic Firth have a slightly extended 55A shaft and thus reach a length of 40.96 cm (16-1/8"). Due to the slightly larger diameter of 1.47 cm compared to the 55A, it brings more emphasis and weight to the ride pool. The oval tip has a large contact surface and provides a warm, powerful sound on drums and cymbals.
The Vic Firth Modern Jazz series includes a series of drum sticks created in collaboration with some of the greatest jazz drummers of our time. From thousands of prototypes, only a handful were selected to become part of the Modern Jazz series. Available are drum stick models made of hickory and maple, with wooden or nylon tip.
