For decades, the Yamaha C 40 series has been the perfect basis for learning to play the guitar easily and successfully. In addition to its outstanding quality, the Yamaha C 40 BL II 4/4 classical guitar convinces with its perfectly adapted workmanship, which is particularly noticeable when you hold it. Despite the laminated construction , the instrument produces a powerful sound that is interspersed with warm bass frequencies and, thanks to its light weight , unfolds quickly and persistently. The traditional Japanese manufacturer also focuses on sustainability and uses only locally available tonewoods for its neck and body materials in order to avoid unnecessary waste of natural resources as well as unnecessary transport routes.
In the construction of the body, the manufacturer uses a laminated spruce top , which, thanks to its thin construction and finish, produces powerful treble frequencies that harmonise perfectly with the warm bass frequencies of the body made of locally sourced tonewood . A discreet white binding separates top and body and creates a striking contrast between the individual components.
A simple soundhole rosette adorns the black spruce top, which gives the otherwise simple instrument a very traditional touch and harmonises perfectly with the dark rosewood bridge .
The heart of the Yamaha C 40 BL II is the flat neck made of locally sourced tonewood , which guarantees comfortable playability in all 18 frets for beginners in particular, and can be gripped very easily in all positions. The 52 mm nut width provides sufficient space on the entire rosewood fretboard making even extensive fingerings easy to master. A urea saddle and nut, whose fine workmanship fully reflects the high quality of the instrument, ensure clean intonation over the entire 650 mm scale length .
Another quality feature are the chromed Yamaha RM-1252X tuners , which guarantee precise tuning of the 6 nylon strings and with their robust construction perfectly round off the instrument in its application-oriented manner. The instrument is strung with medium-strong strings , which make it even easier to grip.
