AMS Neve 1073OPX

The Neve 1073OPX is the 8-channel version of the popular 1073 preamp, featuring an integrated monitor path and headphone output. A digital output via USB and Dante can be retrofitted as an option. Every signal benefits in its own way from the excellent and highly sought-after sound quality of the standard Marinair transformers. Such transformers are virtually never available ex-works and can only be found on the second-hand market at exorbitant prices!

The 1073OPX is designed for installation in a recording studio, thus following the path Neve has already successfully pioneered with the 1081 rack system and the 4081 Quad Mic-Pre: It features the implementation of comprehensive remote control, including Total Recall. On the rear panel, the line and microphone inputs, as well as the outputs, are available as D-sub 25 connectors. Finally, monitoring for the recording musician can also be provided via the unit: a headphone amplifier is integrated and can be fed either via two of the input channels, an analogue monitor path or, if the digital option is fitted, via the digital audio path. If external monitoring is required, the 8 channels from the Neve 1073OPX are summed automatically and fed to a stereo output.

With the 1073OPX’s design, you can therefore achieve world-class amplification of your microphone signals directly in the recording room, sparing the sensitive signals from long cable runs whilst still retaining full control over your preamps. With the optional Digital Option Card, you also get mastering-quality conversion. Neve preamps with this level of specification have never before been available at such a price!
