The Fame Baphomet 5 III Silver expands the popular Baphomet series with a special limited edition in a sophisticated silver look. The heart of the 5-string E-Bass manufactured in Gdansk is its Delano JC5 HE/M2 pickup set, which in combination with the active Delano Sonar-2 Preamp provides first-class sounds. With its 2-band EQ, the latter ensures precise sound shaping and allows targeted intervention in the bass and treble ranges. Visually, the Bass impresses with a body made of Black Limba in a matt silver finish and a five-piece neck made of mahogany and maple, whose individual grain makes each instrument unique. Complemented by extremely hard-wearing Hardware, the Baphomet 5 III Silver is a reliable companion for the studio, rehearsal room and tour. Practical extras such as Schaller S-Lock strap pins and an included Gigbag round off the overall package.
Selected tonewoods & comfortable playing feel
With the new Baphomet 5 III Silver, Fame also relies on first-class tonewoods that characterize sound, appearance and playability in equal measure. The black limba - also known as korina - used for the body is an absolute classic among tonewoods and is characterized by its warm, mid-range sound character. The six-piece neck joint of the multi-piece mahogany neck with maple veneers, on the other hand, ensures stability and a direct response. Thanks to the ergonomic D-neck profile and the 24-fret pau ferro fingerboard, the Bass sits comfortably in the hand. The satin-finished neck surface supports a fluid playing feel, making the Baphomet 5 III ideal for fast runs, complex grooves and expressive bass lines.
Delano pickups & Sonar-2 electronics
The sound of the Baphomet 5 III Silver is characterized by two Delano JC5 HE/M2 single coils. These work in a hum-free split-coil design and combine the transparency of classic single coils with reduced background noise. The result is a clear, defined tone with a precise attack, punchy mids, tight bass and brilliant highs. In combination with the 2-band equalizer of the Delano Sonar-2 Preamp, the result is an extremely flexible sound that is capable of covering both vintage-inspired warmth and modern assertiveness with ease.
Reliable Hardware for everyday use
A single rail bridge and precise WSC JB15 tuners ensure lasting tuning stability and exact intonation. The built-in Schaller S-Lock strap pins provide additional support and make the Bass absolutely stage-proof, even during energetic live performances.
