The TONEX Board is the ideal all-in-one floorboard for any genre!

TONEX Board – IK Multimedia’s new flagship modelling pedal

The IK Multimedia TONEX Board delivers the tried-and-tested AI machine-modelling sound, complete with Amplitube effects, for your pedalboard setup! This powerful modelling floorboard thus expands the TONEX series with flexible routing options and an extensive effects section in a stage-ready floorboard format for electric guitar and electric bass. In addition to authentically modelled amps, cabinets and pedals, over 70 built-in effects from AmpliTube and specially developed processors are available. Up to four tone models can be used simultaneously per preset, distributed across two independent signal paths, each featuring an amp and a stomp model. Together with up to twelve effects slots, this enables the creation of both compact guitar rigs and elaborate dual-amp and stereo setups. A highlight of the new TONEX board is the clear 5" touchscreen, which, with TONEX 2.0, offers a revamped graphical display of amplifiers and effects.

Perfect for your next gig: Preset, Scene and Stomp modes

For live use, the TONEX Board offers three different operating modes. In Preset Mode, complete signal chains can be recalled, whilst Scene Mode allows for different states within a single setup, and Stomp Mode provides direct access to individual effects. In total, up to 1,400 presets can be stored across twelve setlists. Control is via a high-resolution 5-inch colour touchscreen, five encoders and four footswitches with LED indicators. A Custom IR Loader and IK Multimedia’s VIR technology are also available. Furthermore, via TONEX Software, TONEX Editor and ToneNET, users have access to more than 65,000 tone models and presets created by other TONEX users.

Flexible routing just as you need it!

In terms of connectivity, too, the TONEX Board is designed for extensive stage and studio set-ups. In addition to a stereo input, there are two independent pairs of stereo outputs with balanced XLR and TRS connectors, allowing signals with and without cabinet simulation, for example, to be output separately. There is also a stereo FX loop that can be positioned anywhere in the signal path, MIDI In/Out, two sockets for expression pedals or external controllers, and a headphone output. The built-in 24-bit/192 kHz converters offer a dynamic range of up to 123 dB. The board can also be used via USB-C to transfer presets and tone models, as well as for firmware updates; the announced 4-in/2-out USB audio interface function is due to follow via a firmware update at the end of September 2026.
