With Erica synths Black Classic System you get a monster modular synthesizer in Eurorack format. The Black Classic system consists of 15 modules of the Black series, including the Eurorack Skiff Case by Erica synths. Based on two inspired Polivoks VCOs and a Noise Generator the Classic System is a modular system with a great deal of possibility for sound distortion.
Both tone generators of the Erica Synths Black Classic System offer four volume and phase blendable waveforms plus one sub-oscillator each. The voltage-controlled oscillators Black Varishape VCO1 and VCO2 differ in that VCO1 offers cross modulation and VCO2 detune. The Noise Generator Black Digital Noise offers both noise variants and a good selection of low-resolution and ancient gaming sounds.
The characteristic and very snappy voltage-controlled filter, Black Polivoks VCF, can be switched between low and bandpass filters and can be considered the icing on the black Classic System cake. With a little less resonance, a very nice and harmonious sound can be achieved. The two built-in LFOs each have 6 waveforms and sample & hold, can be synchronized by tap or a clock signal and have a VCA installed, which can be used to control the effect depth.
In addition, the Erica Synths Black Classic System is complemented by very useful and high-quality components found in the Black series: two different mixers, one splitter, an output module (including headphone connector), multiple CV processors, a very versatile HADSR envelope, the flexible VCA and a MIDI-to-CV/gate interface. The MIDI CV interface can output one or two-voice notes or control voltages. The modules are installed in a Eurorack Skiff Case.
The Erica Synths Black Series is a series of high-end modules for the Eurorack format. Only the highest quality components are installed in the modules and all inputs and outputs are protected against unwanted overvoltage. Design and user friendliness were preferred to an economic module width. Together, all modules of the Black Series provide a complete modular synthesizer.
