The Fender American Standard Stratocaster HSS Shawbucker Maple 6-String Electric Guitar in 3-Colour Sunburst combines nearly 70 years of guitar-building know-how with the genius of pickup guru Tim Shaw to create an instrument of unrivalled tone and quality.
The Fender American Standard Stratocaster HSS Shawbucker features an Alder body that has been carved into one of the most familiar shapes in the guitar world. This is joined by a modern “C” profile Maple neck that is fitted with an American Series truss rod for added strength and stability. Topping the neck is a 9.5” radius Maple fingerboard that is fitted with 22 medium jumbo frets and a set of black dot inlays.
The body of the Fender American Standard Stratocaster HSS Shawbucker comes equipped with the pickup that gives the model its name – the Tim Shaw-designed Shawbucker. This unique, powerful humbucker pickup is mounted in the bridge position and has been designed to produce the ultimate in modern humbucking tone. Accompanying it are a pair of Custom Shop Fat ‘50s single coil Strat pickups in the middle and neck positions that give the American Standard Stratocaster HSS Shawbucker the kind of classic, sparkling tone that has made the Strat one of the most popular guitars ever.
Joining the pickup selection of the Fender American Standard Strat HSS Shawbucker is a five-position pickup selector switch, a master volume control, two tone controls, a two-point synchronised tremolo with bent steel saddles, a set of deluxe sealed tuners, aged white plastic parts and a three-ply Parchment pickguard.
