The name Ludwig has always been a household name in all areas of modern drumming. The Beatles, the drummer of Bob Marley and of course the legendary John Bonham developed their world-famous, unique sound with the help of the legendary drums. Whether in the studio or on stage: Ludwig-Snares are the epitome of professionalism and fat, balanced sound in every respect. Since 1911 the number one traditional blacksmith for drums has been constantly building snares and can therefore fall back on an almost priceless wealth of experience to produce this simply inimitable Ludwig sound, which is still decisive today.
Finally the famous Coliseum Snares of Ludwig are back. In a minimum special edition of only 100 snares, the solid drum returns to the Ludwig range. The Slotted Coliseum Snares with maple kettle became famous for the massive attack and the intensive volume.
The special thing about the 7-layer maple bowl is that it is divided in the middle and thus practically consists of two individual rings, which are connected to a bowl by the tension rings. Despite the cutout in the middle, which increases the volume significantly, the Slotted Coliseum have a lively, crisp, warm sound with plenty of attack and an almost endless assertiveness. 12 tuning screws on each side additionally define the sound;
