For optimum sound development of the exotic woods, the export boilers are manufactured using the special SST (Superior Shell Technology) process and then fitted with weight-reduced clamping blocks in the new design. Pearl's Opti-Loc Mounting System, which uses a triangular shape to minimize the contact between boiler and metal, allows the boilers to swing freely and impressively unfold the full range of their unmistakable export sound. The headrest is ground at a 45° angle and, together with the triple-flanged, 1.6 mm thick tension tire, ensures a deep and full sound for every attack.
