The Fame DI-1 passive single DI box is a compact solution for anyone who wants to reliably convert unbalanced signals into balanced signals. This makes it particularly suitable for musicians, live technicians, studios and recording setups in which instruments and other signal sources are to be cleanly integrated into professional audio environments.
The most important features include the high-impedance jack input, a balanced XLR output, the switchable ground lift and a PAD switch with 0 dB, -20 dB and -40 dB. The robust metal housing also makes the DI-1 a practical choice for the stage, rehearsal room and studio.
Fame DI-1I used the Fame DI-1 for connecting Bass guitar to my mixer for PA use and it performed as i expected although it was kicked around the stage by my bassist.
Used it with guitar to an audio interface for some DAW tracking and no problems there too.
Gets the job done nicely. Really well built and sturdy.

I needed the Fame Audio DI-1 for a particular rack setup for recording - and it did exactly what I needed. Well built, so could imagine it take some beating when used on stage too.
Its a passive DI box using a rather cheap audio transformer. Can be easily saturated with hot signals but kept within expected use (converting instrument/line to mic level balanced) it does what its supposed to.
