Paiste's 2002 series was the first series developed by the Swiss manufacturer especially for electronically amplified music. And the current 2002 cymbal models are still based on the legendary 2002 cymbals from the 70s. Of course, the incredibly popular 2002 series has since been continuously developed and supplemented by new models that hit the nerve of today's popular rock and pop music.
The 2002 basins in Switzerland are made of a CuSn8 bronze, the term "2002 bronze" quickly became a winged term due to the incredible popularity of these basins. The manufacturing process is carried out by experienced basin forges and ends in the completely hand-hammered process.
The bright, energetic and dynamic sound of the 2002 basin series works best with modern rock and metal, ska, rockabilly and punk styles, but also in connection with classic rock, gospel, soul or similar.
