The Yamaha Revstar Standard RSS20L Lefthand Swift Blue introduces left-handed players to the latest generation of Yamaha’s popular double-cut electric guitar in Café Racer style. Inspired by sporty motorcycles, the guitar combines a modern-retro aesthetic with contemporary features such as stainless steel frets and Alnico V humbuckers with flexible tone options. Yamaha’s construction blends a mahogany body with strategically placed resonance chambers, a maple top, and a graphite-reinforced mahogany neck. Traditional hardware including a Tune-O-Matic bridge with Stopbar tailpiece and precise die-cast tuners completes this professional-grade instrument.
Inspired by café racers, the Yamaha Revstar Standard RSS20L Lefthand Swift Blue impresses with sporty looks, first-class playing characteristics and flexible sounds.
Besides the mahogany body with resonance chambers, the Revstar Standard Lefthand has a glued mahogany neck with satin finish.
Mahogany guitar with innovative construction
The Revstar Standard RSS20L features a mahogany body topped with maple and carefully positioned sound chambers to maximize resonance and tonal depth. The glued, three-piece mahogany neck is reinforced with carbon rods, offering premium playability with its powerful C-profile and satin-finished back. A rosewood fingerboard with nearly wear-resistant jumbo stainless steel frets ensures smooth bends and effortless playability.
Yamaha VH5 humbuckers with Alnico V magnets and the versatile 5-way circuit with focus switch promises versatile guitar sounds.
Alnico V humbucker with Focus Switch
Yamaha equips the RSS20L with two VH5 humbuckers featuring Alnico V magnets for full-bodied cleans and juicy overdrive tones, ideal for crisp licks and punchy riffs. A flexible 5-way selector provides versatile pickup combinations, while the innovative Focus Switch and push/pull tone control create a passive “boost,” emulating the sharp character of hot overwound pickups.
In addition to the Revstar Hanko stamp, the headstock of the RSS20L features Lefthand Die-Cast tuners with vintage-style wings.
