  • Multi Player: Loads/creates multisampled instruments; extensive sound library (samples, drum kits, presets).
  • Subtracks (“Tracks in Tracks”): 8 monophonic, multitimbral subtracks per track, each with its own sequencer and parameters.
  • Modulation per audio track: 2 LFOs + 2 FX LFOs + 1 mod envelope; 2 LFOs per bus/send/mix; pitch bend/mod wheel/breath/aftertouch assignable per track.
  • Sequencer: Up to 256 steps per pattern and track, polyphonic; parameter locks, microtiming, retrig, trigger conditions/chance, individual length and timescale per track, sequencer lanes; arp for each audio and MIDI track.
  • MIDI tracks: 16-voice polyphony per step, 16 freely assignable CCs, 2 LFOs per track.
  • Performance: 2 trigger modes (tracks/velocity), keyboard mode with 36 scales, chord mode, song mode.
  • Effects (depending on track type): Comb±/Filter Bank/Low-pass/Multimode filter, Infinite Flanger, Panoramic Chorus, Phase 98, Warble, Chrono Pitch, Frequency Warper, Compressor, Degrader, Dirtshaper, Daisy Delay, Saturator Delay, Rumsklang, Supervoid Reverb, Steel Box Reverb & Filter Folder.

Front view of the Elektron Tonverk

The Elektron Tonverk is a versatile creative hub for the studio and stage: a polyphonic sampler, a flexible FX control centre and a radical routing lab, all in one unit. Eight stereo audio tracks, together with four bus tracks, three send effects and a mix track, form the basis for complex signal paths – both internal and external. For each audio track, you can choose between four ‘machines’: the Single Player plays back WAV samples polyphonically in mono or stereo, allowing loop points and crossfades for seamless loops. The Multi Player loads multisample-based instruments from the extensive library – or from your own recordings, which you can create automatically via MIDI using the Auto Sampler. With Subtracks, you can transform a track into eight monophonic, multitimbral sub-tracks, each with its own sequencer and individual parameters. Alternatively, you can switch a track to MIDI; this option is also available on the bus tracks. Two recording methods are available: the Recorder for direct internal or external audio recording, and the aforementioned Auto Sampler for convenient multisampling of your favourite sound generators.

The modulation system is both comprehensive and focused: each audio track features two freely assignable LFOs, two FX LFOs and a modulation envelope; there are two further LFOs available at the bus, send and mix levels respectively. Pitch bend, mod wheel, breath control and aftertouch can be assigned specifically to each track. The sequencer offers up to 256 steps per pattern and track, operates polyphonically and supports parameter locks, microtiming, retrigs and trigger conditions, including probabilities. Different pattern lengths and time-scale multipliers per track, separate sequencer lanes and an arpeggiator for both audio and MIDI tracks open up further creative possibilities. For performance, two trigger modes (Tracks and Velocity), a keyboard mode with 36 scales, a chord mode and a song mode are available.

Sound design is handled by a wide range of effects (depending on the track), including Comb± and filter bank processing, low-pass and multimode filters, Infinite Flanger, Panoramic Chorus, Phase 98, Warble, Chrono Pitch, Frequency Warper, Compressor, Degrader, Dirtshaper, Daisy Delay, Saturator Delay, as well as the Rumsklang and Supervoid reverbs. An external input mixer with freely routable outputs seamlessly integrates external signals into your setup.

In terms of connectivity, the Tonverk is exceptionally well equipped: four ¼″ impedance-balanced outputs, two ¼″ balanced inputs and a ¼″ headphone output are paired with 48 kHz/24-bit AD/DA conversion. Two USB-C ports support Class-Compliant USB audio, whilst MIDI In/Out/Thru with DIN sync output and an SD card slot are also included. The hardware is housed in a robust steel casing featuring a 128×64-pixel OLED display. Despite its features, the unit remains compact (286 × 176 × 63 mm) and easy to transport (approx. 1.85 kg), and can be mounted flexibly thanks to 100×100 mm VESA mounting holes (M4, ≤ 7 mm).

The package includes a 64 GB SD card, the PSU-5 power supply, an Elektron USB-C cable and exclusive artwork. The package is rounded off by a 3-year Elektron warranty. The Tonverk is therefore the all-in-one solution for anyone who wants to combine sampling, effects, sequencing and complex routing without compromise.
