The HK Audio PORTABLE SUB 118 A is an active 18" bass-reflex subwoofer with a 3" voice coil for high-performance sound reinforcement systems, delivering impressive deep bass response and an amplifier output of 700 watts RMS or 1,400 watts peak. With a maximum sound pressure level of 131 dB SPL and a frequency response ranging from 35 Hz to the set crossover frequency (-6 dB), it provides the foundation for powerful low-frequency reproduction in a wide variety of applications.

For optimal adaptation to different loudspeaker systems, the PORTABLE SUB 118 A features integrated DSP presets for LUNAR, SONAR, POLAR and General. The DSP pre-amplifier operates at a sample rate of 48 kHz and is complemented by a Class D power amplifier with a subsonic filter as well as peak and RMS limiters. The crossover frequency can be set to either 80 Hz or 100 Hz.

For flexible integration, there are 2 balanced XLR/jack combo inputs and 2 balanced XLR thru outputs. The robust MDF cabinet with a durable acrylic lacquer finish in deep black (RAL 9005) is complemented by a front grille made of 1.5 mm metal with black acoustic foam. Two MultiGrip carrying handles facilitate transport, whilst the integrated M20 stand flange enables the secure mounting of spacer bars.

Measuring 51 x 61.5 x 70.3 cm and weighing 39.3 kg, the HK Audio PORTABLE SUB 118 A combines high power reserves with practical handling and is ideal as a powerful bassextension for professional sound reinforcement systems.
