FBT J 15A - Powerful 15" active loudspeaker for versatile applications

The FBT J 15A is an active 2-way loudspeaker that combines technical reliability with a clear, powerful sound image and, thanks to its 15-inch woofer, is ideal for applications where a solid bass foundation is required without additional subwoofers.

Superior performance and modern technology
Efficient Class D power amplifiers work inside, delivering a total RMS output of 450 watts (350W LF / 100W HF) and reaching up to 900 watts at its peak. In combination with the 15" custom woofer and the 1" compression driver, the speaker achieves a maximum sound pressure level of 129 dB. The dispersion pattern of 90° x 60° ensures precise coverage of the audience.

Flexibility through DSP control
A digital signal processor (DSP) is integrated to quickly adapt the speaker to different environments. Four practical presets - from a linear output to an optimized setting for speech/monitoring and bass-emphasized modes for DJs - allow the sound to be optimized with just one touch. A switchable high-pass filter also enables seamless integration into setups with external subwoofers.

Sophisticated housing design
The housing made of robust, gas-injected polypropylene is not only hard-wearing, but also surprisingly light for this performance class at approx. 15 kg. Thanks to its asymmetrical design, the J 15A can easily be used as a floor monitor. Two M10 threaded points are available for fixed installations, while the standard 35 mm flange allows it to be used on conventional stands. A sturdy steel grille protects the high-quality components in tough everyday event conditions.

Connections and operation
The J 15A is easy to handle: the XLR/jack combo input has a mic/line switch so that both mixing consoles and microphones can be connected directly. The signal can be easily looped through to other speakers via the XLR link output.
