The body of the Gretsch G6120TFM is made of intensively grained curly maple laminate.
The large body of the Gretsch G6120TFM in the typical Nashville style is made of laminated curly maple and features the Gretsch ML-Bracing, which connects back and top with two parallel "columns". This makes the electric guitar insensitive to feedback without damping its resonant primary tone. The "Standard U"-profile of the maple neck, glued according to the traditional technique, also offers a comfortable playability for every playing technique, whereby classic-looking thumb nail inlays allow perfect orientation between the 22 frets of the ebony fingerboard.
The electrical sound conversion of the Gretsch G6120TFM is done by two Gretsch High Sensitive Filter'Tron Humbuckers in neck and bridge position. Accordingly, a particularly dynamic and brilliant sound is available at the amplifier, which skilfully captures the acoustic resonance of the Hollow Body construction and thus provides the perfect basis for all playing styles between Blues, Country, Rockabilly and Rock'n'Roll. With the classic Gretsch circuit, which consists of a 3-way toggle switch, individual volume and tone controls as well as master volume and tone, different tones can be called up.
