MPCe Performance Pads

The 16 new MPCe Performance Pads make the PRIME 4 G2 a particularly versatile performance system. The velocity-and pressure-sensitive pads, featuring 3D sensing technology, respond to strike, pressure and position, thereby enabling exceptionally dynamic control.

What sets them apart is the multi-zone technology: a single pad can combine multiple functions and parameters. This allows different performance elements to be controlled directly via the pads, from hot cues, samples and stems through to effects and lighting control.

Combined with the integrated stems separation, this opens up further creative possibilities. Vocals, instrumental parts and other track components can be integrated into the performance and edited directly via the pads.

Creative control with stems & extensive FX

Stem separation is integrated directly into the PRIME 4 G2. Using the dedicated Instant Acapella and Instrumental buttons, Stem Pad Mode, as well as Stem Level EQ and Stem FX, vocals and instrumentals can be edited precisely and creatively combined during a set.

The PRIME 4 G2 offers a versatile FX workflow with more than 25 main FX. This is complemented by 10 reactive Touch FX, Fader FX and four Sweep FX, each with dedicated controls per channel. The Favourite FX buttons provide quick access to frequently used effects – ideal for spontaneous and creative adjustments to the mix.

Standalone & Software DJing

The PRIME 4 G2 is designed as a complete 4-channel/4-deck standalone system and enables professional DJing without the need for a computer connection. The newly developed library navigation encoder allows for quick and intuitive navigation through settings, playlists and tracks. Frequently used playlists can also be accessed directly via the three playlist bank buttons.

With the planned OmniSource support, it will also be possible in future to seamlessly combine standalone and software DJing. Serato, Algoriddim and VirtualDJ are set to be supported.

For even greater deck control, the system can also be expanded with up to two Denon DJ LC6000 PRIME units following its launch.

Streaming, Bluetooth & Media

Thanks to integrated dual-band Wi-Fi, you can access supported streaming services such as Apple Music, Amazon Music Unlimited, Beatport, SoundCloud Go+ and TIDAL (subscription required) directly. Spotify support has been announced.

The Bluetooth deck makes it easy to integrate smartphones and tablets into the mix as additional audio sources. For your own music, USB-A, USB-C, SD card and an internal SATA hard drive bay are available.

This means the PRIME 4 G2 is ideally equipped for both pre-prepared DJ libraries and spontaneous, flexible set-ups.

Touchscreen, jog wheels & professional sound

The 10.1-inch HD multi-touch screen with 1280 × 800 pixels enables intuitive navigation through the music library, mixer, effects and system settings. The two 8-inch high-resolution jog wheels feature integrated RGB displays and show, amongst other things, cue positions and stem status.

High-quality sound is ensured by ESS ES9017S 32-bit DACs with a dynamic range of up to 119 dB and a maximum output level of +20 dBu at the main XLR output.

Lighting control & professional connections

With Engine Lighting powered by SoundSwitch and the integrated DMX output, lighting control is integrated directly into the DJ workflow. Compatible DMX lighting systems as well as smart lighting solutions such as Philips Hue and Nanoleaf can be controlled directly.

For professional set-ups, the PRIME 4 G2 offers main, booth and zone XLR outputs, as well as two stereo line/phono inputs. Two microphone inputs with 3-band EQ, echo, reverb, talkover and anti-feedback also allow for the flexible integration of presentation, vocals or other audio sources. The second microphone input can alternatively be used as an instrument input.
