For the professional bass guild. A true premium bass! Hand made … the most expensive warehoused woods … active MEC pickups … valuable hardware. And naturally 5 fold set wood with 6 point neck bolts.
These premium basses aren’t mass produced on an assembly line in the Far East but are completely, individually made by hand from experienced Bass-makers in the premium guitar and bass foundry of M-Guitars in Danzig, in fact, they don’t see a single machine. Each instrument goes through precise and extensive quality controls and testing, to ensure that every instrument that leaves the shop is of the highest standard possible. The current version of the Baphomet have been equipped with lighter WSC-Mechanics and a new bridge, which was praised by the industry press as having a construction style that is “absolutely genius”.
The carefully designed Baphomet is verified by its tight, strong sound. Finally, with their comfortable form and at such a low price, if you don’t fall in love at first sight … you have no heart.

Test Review from ‘Gitarre&Bass’ (Germany) 08/00:
“… Hard to believe but true: the Baphomet is a true premium bass without compromises, when it comes to the high quality woods, premium features and playability. Not surprising when it has such a renowned role model. How the supplier is able to do it at this price is a mystery, but the musician doesn’t have to worry about that. This bass is a premium deal!”

Excellent value, no-nonsense active bass. Reliable hardware and attractive oiled finish. MEC pickups and active controls give adequate range. The "Fame" branding may not suit every persons taste but dont let prejudice stand in the way of a competent instrument. I have used this particular bass professionally for 11 months with an Irish acoustic band both live and in recording. From that experience the only modification I would suggest is a small radius on the treble edge of the ebony fingerboard for comfort.
