The Lexicon PCM96 series combines the legacy of legendary Lexicon reverb processors with state-of-the-art technology. Whilst the PCM96 impresses as a high-quality stereo reverb processor, the PCM96 Surround expands the possibilities with additional inputs, outputs and a wide range of new algorithms and presets.
Featuring state-of-the-art technology, it offers 50 first-class reverb, delay and modulation effects. In addition to the familiar Lexicon reverb algorithms, the PCM96 also features entirely new room and reverb algorithms, as well as, for the first time, new explicit surround reverb algorithms, which are making their debut in a Lexicon unit.
With a vast selection of over 2,200 factory presets – including many classic sounds from the Lexicon archive – this unit is an indispensable solution for professional studios and live applications.
The PCM96 expands the capabilities of traditional reverb processors through the use of multimode filters at various points in the signal path. This allows reverb spaces to be precisely shaped without losing the characteristic Lexicon sound. Another highlight is the ‘Infinite’ function, which allows the reverb to be extended indefinitely – ideal for atmospheric soundscapes and sound design.
The PCM96 Surround builds on the success of the PCM96, offering advanced configuration options and a wider selection of presets. With over 2,200 factory presets, including numerous classic Lexicon sounds, it delivers an exceptional range of reverb and modulation effects.
New pitch algorithms, as well as the innovative Surround Room algorithm, create an impressive sense of space for music production and post-production applications.
