The Behringer 110 VCO/VCF/VCA is a fully analog synth voice, featuring an oscillator, a 24 dB low-pass filter and a VCA with a logarithmic response. The analog oscillator offers triangle, sawtooth and square waveforms, including pulse width modulation. For added convenience, the oscillator is equipped with an octave switch, allowing the pitch to be quickly adjusted in steps. The filter is a resonant 24 dB low-pass filter with the typical Roland character. Thanks to its logarithmic response curve, the VCA is ideally suited for audio applications and also forms the end of the signal chain in the 110. The audio signal path is normalized from the oscillator to the filter and from the filter to the VCA, but the sections can also be used independently. In addition to a dedicated CV input for pulse width modulation, each of the three sections of the Behringer 110 VCO/VCF/VCA features two control voltage inputs.
One of the best-known modular systems is Roland’s System-100m, produced from 1979 to 1984. Its manageable number of modules and, in particular, the integration of multiple functions per module made it an attractive instrument for many users. Behringer has adapted these classic dimensions to the compact Eurorack format, taking great care to ensure that sound and functionality are in no way inferior to the original cult instrument.
Behringer 110 VCO/VCF/VCAI have bought all of the other Behringer system 100 modules and the 110 completes the set. Now I have three oscillators, 3 VCAs and 3 Filters. They look great and have lots of functionality. Great value modules and sound lovely.
