The PRS SE Special Semi-Hollow has long been a versatile and dependable workhorse within the SE lineup. Its unique semi-hollow construction, combined with a wide array of pickups, allows this guitar to cover an exceptionally broad sonic palette. The mahogany body with a resonance chamber, paired with a two-piece maple top featuring a curly maple veneer, delivers a classic tone with airy, acoustic-like character. Meanwhile, the combination of two 58/15 LT “S” humbuckers and a Narrowfield DD “S” middle pickup provides a wealth of switchable tonal options. Two mini-switches allow each humbucker to be coil-split independently, giving access to clearly defined single-coil tones as well. The instrument is equipped exclusively with PRS in-house hardware, including a patented PRS tremolo and PRS-designed tuners, and comes complete with a gig bag for easy transport.
