The Peavey VYPYR Pro 100 Guitar Amplifier Combo is a guitar amplifier combo, featuring a 100W power output, an effects loop, an on-board chromatic tuner, and multi-parameter effects control. From the creators of the revolutionary VYPYR and VYPYR VIP series comes the Peavey VYPYR Pro 100, the evolution of the most advanced modelling amplifier on the planet. The VYPYR Pro 100 uses four stages of exclusive TransTube analogue gain to create the most realistic tube sounding distortion in any modelling amplifier, ever.
With over 500 presets available and more than 100 different models of effects, reverbs, delays, and amplifiers, the VYPYR Pro 100 is the most innovative and advanced modelling amplifier on the planet. By using analogue distortion, the VYPYR Pro 100's digital processor has the ability to offer almost limitless combinations of additional stompboxes, "rack" effects, amplifiers and now even instrument models. Because of the advanced dual processor design, the VYPYR Pro 100 can run up to four amplifier models in parallel.
The main features of the Peavey VYPYR Pro 100 Guitar Amplifier Combo include:
I'm the type that doesn't have much patience dealing with a lot of stompboxes taking up space, nor the money to pay for them all either. So when I heard of Peavey's Vypyr series, I was hopeful and the reviews I read/saw online made it look like a worthwhile purchase. After a few hours of tinkering, I can definitely say it is, as not only is it hard to distinguish between this and a genuine tube amp, but such sounds are possible without having to reach decibel levels that will make the neighbours hate you. Additionally, it has so many options, from a wide array of stompboxes, delay, reverb, etc etc along with the ability to simulate a wide variety of instruments, such as acoustic, 12 string and e-violin. The combinations are endless, and you can get some great tones from this.
The only reason the price didn't get 5 stars is that to use this amp professionally, you realistically need to shell out nearly 300euro more for the Sanpera Pro pedal, bringing the total spent close to 1k. But this is still cheaper than what it would cost to have a complete effects/stompbox set up, plus it comes without all the clutter.
Also. this arrived from one side of Europe to another in just 6 days (including the weekend!). and in good condition, so I'd definitely have no problem ordering from MusicStore.de again.
