The Sonor Safari 4-Piece Shell Set Red Galaxy Sparkle is a 4-piece Safari Shell Set, featuring a red galaxy sparkle finish, and includes a 16 x 16 Bass Drum, a 10 x 8 Tom, a 14 x 12 Floortom, a 14 x 5 Snare Drum, and a single tom holder STH274. The Safari Shell Set is the third set, along with the Bop and the Martini kits, to free itself from the conventional chains of the mainstream with practical and innovative features, sizes and finishes. Unusually small shell sizes that deliver a sensational and full sound is the secret recipe of the Safari drum set.
The Safari Kit from Sonor is suited for stage, practice room and even the studio. Its small size and flexibility also makes it a great practice set for children. It is also extremely portable, unbelievably light weight and is setup and disassembled in no time, making it the perfect instrument for street performers. The shells of the Safari Drum set consists of 9 layers of Poplar wood, which are cross laminated for sound optimization, creating a thickness of 7.2 mm and provides additional stability. Triple flanged steel hoops, chrome shell hardware and Sonors proven TuneSafe lugs provide consistent and reliable tuning and a first class sound. Despite their small size, the shells produce a warm sound with unexpected resonance. The Bass drum is setup with the included risers and a single tom mount featuring ball-joints is also included in the set.

This accoustic drum has all the caracteristics so a player can produce the great sounds of rock and jazz. It can really balance between the power that those different styles require and really not that expensive. But be wise: if you really need that metal power it wont be there wanting for you because of its size.
Ending my review, I just want to mention another caracteristic, great even for professional players. This product is really small so you wont have any problem playing in those smallest bares or stages or even rehearsing in a small place.
