The Hartke HA2500 bass amp turns out to be a versatile all-round amp for almost any application thanks to its powerful output power and extremely flexible EQ.
The preamp of the Hartke HA2500 bass amplifier is divided into a classic solid state circuit and a tube simulation based on transistors. Freely mixable via their own controls, the preamps of the bass top accordingly deliver a wide sound spectrum, ranging from a broadband clean tone with maximum headroom to a juicy distorting bass overdrive.
With the help of the musically tuned graphic equalizer with 10 frequency bands, the bass sound can be precisely adjusted to your own preferences. In addition, the Contour section provides adjustable High Pass and Low Pass filters for basic tone adjustment. If desired, the integrated compressor extends the sustain and harmonically irons out unwanted level peaks. The HA2500 is also equipped with a serial effects loop for connecting additional bass effect units.
The classic analog transistor power amplifier of the Hartke HA2500 top unit delivers up to 250 watts of power and thus provides amazingly high volume reserves for band rehearsals and gigs. The balanced XLR Direct Out, whose tap point can be switched before or after the EQ by means of a Pre/Post switch, also allows the bass amp to be connected to mixing consoles or audio interfaces for direct miking of the bass sound.
I went from a LH1000, which was a fantastic sounding amp, but too heavy to carry around. So then i got a TX300, great little amp lightweight but i could not get used to the class D sound, i felt there was always something missing in the sound. So then i met it halfway and got the HA2500...Wow! what a difference, the sound is awesome! the EQ is excellent, and weight is OK. I cant beleive i missed this amp before. This is all subjective, but i like a solid bass weighty sound and this amp has what i like..Try One!!!
