For many years, the EMG 707 was one of the most popular Humbucker s for 7-string instruments. Now, the model is also available for 8-string guitars, offering the same impressive features. The EMG 808X Black features a different preamp design to the standard 808. It sounds considerably more open and is less heavily compressed. As a result, it behaves more like a passive pickup.
