The Ibanez AAD361CE-TKR from the Advanced Acoustic Series combines a powerful acoustic sound with a modern look. This dreadnought acoustic guitar features a solid top combined with a laminated back and sides, providing a well-balanced foundation for a assertive sound. Visually, the instrument is a real eye-catcher with its elegant Transparent Black finish and sophisticated high-gloss lacquer. Thanks to its built-in pickup system, the AAD361CE-TKR is also ideally suited for amplified performances.
Sonically, the guitar impresses with a powerful, open and balanced sound. The solid top made from torrefied spruce ensures a direct response and a sound character that is already pleasantly broken in, whilst the X-M bracing supports efficient vibration transmission. The back and sides, made from laminated flamed acacia, complement the tonal character with clear definition and a balanced spectrum of overtones. A special feature is the Ibanez A.I.R.port, which directs part of the sound specifically towards the player. This allows the player to perceive their own guitar sound more immediately and in greater detail whilst playing.
The Ibanez AAD361CE-TKR also stands out as a contemporary instrument when it comes to playability. Thanks to its pleasantly slim Low Oval Profile, the curly maple neck sits comfortably in the hand and allows for relaxed playing across the entire length of the neck. The rosewood fingerboard with rounded edges further ensures a smooth playing feel and offers the fretting hand a particularly natural transition at the edge of the fingerboard. The cutaway provides additional flexibility, allowing comfortable access to the higher frets.
For amplified use, this model is fitted with an Ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup and the Ibanez AEQ-TP2 preamp. The pickup, mounted beneath the bridge, transmits the guitar’s acoustic character directly and with balanced clarity, thereby providing a reliable foundation for live performances, rehearsals and recording. The AEQ-TP2 preamp allows the amplified signal to be conveniently adjusted to suit the specific playing situation.
