The Korg D1 stage piano is a lightweight, compact instrument equipped with a high-quality RH3 weighted keyboard. Thanks to its compact design, it is ideal for daily practice as well as live performances. A selection of 30 sounds, including particularly brilliant piano tones, ensures that a wide range of musical styles can be covered. In addition, the Korg D1 offers many useful features such as a metronome, layer function, touch control, and effects. A music stand and a sustain pedal are already included.
The stage piano features a weighted hammer-action keyboard (RH3) that faithfully reproduces the touch of a concert grand piano. The keyboard is graded, meaning the keys are heavier in the lower register and lighter in the upper register, resulting in a natural and expressive playing feel.
The D1 includes a total of 30 instrument sounds. The selection ranges from various acoustic pianos to electric pianos, organs, strings, clavinet, and vibraphone sounds. The piano sounds realistically simulate damper resonance and the ambient resonance of the strings that occurs when the sustain pedal of an acoustic piano is pressed. The six electric piano sounds in the Korg D1 cover a wide spectrum of classic tones, including the iconic electric piano sounds used in pop and soul music of the 1960s and 1970s.
A built-in metronome can be activated at the touch of a button. For greater sound variety, simply press two sound buttons simultaneously to layer two sounds in Layer mode. To match the keyboard response to your playing style, the D1’s touch control offers five different velocity curves. For live performance or studio use, the stage piano features standard LINE OUT jacks for connecting to active speakers or recording equipment. The MIDI IN/OUT ports on the rear panel allow connection to a computer via a MIDI interface, enabling the D1 to be used as a MIDI controller keyboard or sound module.
