The Mayones Regius Core Gothic 6 Antique Black electric guitar embodies the dark side of the renowned Polish manufacturer from Gdańsk and delivers guitar tones perfectly tailored to modern rock and metal. Built with a neck-through construction using premium tonewoods, the instrument offers exceptionally agile handling for virtuoso playing techniques. At the same time, hand-wound Mayones TKO by Bare Knuckle pickups deliver articulate, modern tones, whose precise definition also translates drop tunings with clarity even at high gain levels. High-quality hardware, including locking tuners and a bridge from Hipshot as well as S-Locks from Schaller, completes the Regius Core Gothic 6 Antique Black from Mayones.
For the sophisticated neck-through construction of the Regius Core Gothic 6, Mayones uses carefully selected tonewoods that ensure first-class aesthetics and sound. The core of the electric guitar is the full-length, extremely stable neck made of maple, mahogany, ovangkol, and wenge. The swamp ash body wings are topped with a carved ash top, whose grain is perfectly highlighted by the dark antique finish. Excellent playability up to the 24th stainless steel fret of the ebony fingerboard is further ensured by the flat D neck profile with a 16" fingerboard radius.
For the Regius Core Gothic 6, Mayones equips the guitar with two TKO by Bare Knuckle humbuckers, whose sound is precisely tailored to the needs of progressive rock and metal guitarists. The TKO neck humbucker uses classic Alnico V magnets to deliver an open tone with woody warmth for crystal-clear cleans and well-defined chords. In the bridge position, the TKO bridge humbucker, equipped with ceramic magnets, produces powerful and focused tones that reproduce every note with absolute precision, even at high gain settings. A coil-split function expands the Regius 6’s tonal range with bell-like single-coil sounds, while the treble bleed circuit on the volume control prevents unwanted high-frequency loss when reducing the volume.
The Regius Core Gothic 6 Antique Black is completed by a premium hardware setup designed to withstand even the most demanding touring conditions with maximum reliability. The bridge is the popular Hipshot Fixed Guitar Bridge, whose generously adjustable saddles ensure optimal intonation and string action, even in drop tunings with heavier string gauges. With its string-through-body design, the Hipshot bridge also enhances the guitar’s crisp tonal response. Behind the Graph Tech nut, Hipshot Grip-Lock open-gear locking tuners provide precise tuning with exceptional stability. The proven Schaller S-Locks strap security system also guarantees a secure hold of the Mayones Regius on the strap.
