The PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo offers a wide repertoire of electric and acoustic sounds thanks to the versatility of its integrated piezo system. Its body is made of mahogany with generous resonance chambers and is complemented by a maple back, a laminated maple top, an attractive bird’s-eye maple veneer and classic F-holes. This design provides a warm fundamental tone with an acoustic quality that can be blended in as desired using the piezo volume control. For electric sounds, two PRS 58/15 “S” humbuckers are fitted in the neck and bridge positions, whilst the piezo pickup —developed in collaboration with L.R. Baggs —in the wraparound bridge delivers authentic acoustic tones. The magnetic and piezo signals can either be used together via the combined Mag/Mix output with separate volume controls, or routed independently via the dedicated piezo output to an amplifier, effects units or a DI box. The features are rounded off by the comfortable Wide Fat mahogany neck and the characteristic bird inlays on the fingerboard, which give the guitar its unmistakable PRS look.
