The Seymour Duncan SSL-6 Custom Flat Strat RWRP White is just the thing for Strat players who prefer thinner string sets and flatter fretboard radii. This single-coil pickup, featuring six flat Alnico V pole pieces, combines the unmistakable tonal character of the Strat with the added power of its ‘overwound’ coil winding— um ly designed to give lead playing and single notes extra presence in the band mix. Um To ensure compatibility with most single-coil cut-outs, Seymour Duncan uses Forbon bobbins with an oval base for the SSL-6 and subjects all models to a wax bath, um to prevent unwanted microphony. The RWRP version of the SSL-6 features reversed magnet polarity and coil winding, producing noise-free tones when used in combination with the neck or bridge pickups.
