The cymbals in the K’Constantinople series have always been the highest quality of their kind.
The renowned cymbal manufacturer Zildjian – a name which loosely translates as ‘son of a cymbal maker’ – can already look back on a history of success spanning almost 400 years. Driven through many ups and downs, it was above all the optimal quality and the incomparable sound of Zildjian cymbals that ensured steady progress in the world of musical instruments. After making the leap across the Atlantic in the 20th century, there was simply no stopping them, and today it is impossible to imagine the industry without the cymbals bearing the iconic Zildjian branding.
The K’ Series – More than just cymbals
The K’ Series, which first saw the light of day in the second half of the 19th century and set new standards with its incredible resonance and, for its time, unbelievably slim construction combined with exceptional durability, is subject to constant optimisation by Zildjian, with only the composition of the metals – carefully guarded as a family secret – remaining unchanged.
The latest K’ Series features improved hammering, an additional twist on the top and bottom, and a new vintage-style crown. These new features not only preserve the cymbal’s universally appreciated dark and warm fundamental tone, but also add nuances in the overtone range. Furthermore, the look of the K’ Series comes closer to the original thanks to the additional twist, lending the whole thing a traditional and nostalgic touch.
Last but not least, the meticulous and thoughtful craftsmanship by the world’s most skilled cymbal smiths is what makes these cymbals what they are:
arguably the best cymbals of all time!

Zildjian K' Constantinople Crash 18" Beautiful cymbal, very rich in sound and a great fit for many musical styles... highly recommended, even considering the price.
The handling/shipping was probably not done by a drummer, seeing as the cymbal was outside of the protective plastic bags and was just inserted directly in the box against the cardboard. Thank god they wrapped the 5 Euro guitar tuner that I also bought though... )
But thats a minor misgiving, overall very pleased with the service and especially the sound of this little gem. I use a mix of A-Zildjians and K-Zildjians and this 18" Constantinople fits surprisingly well in there. Only problem is now I want the full Constantinople setup...
