DW SM912 Cymbal Holder 18"

I added this DW Cymbal holder to an existing generic cymbal stand as a replacement. I'm glad I did. This DW Cymbal Holder is top quality. Not too heavy, but much sturdier and better designed than the previous cymbal holder I had. The top wing nut and cymbal felt are connected together, so the possibility of losing the wing nut when mounting/dismounting a cymbal is eliminated. The lower cymbal mounting piece is adjustable with a drum key, so you can apply just the right amount of pressure you want between the cymbal felts when the cymbal is attached. There is no risk to scratch or damage the keyhole of my cymbals. This DW holder keeps the cymbal very secure, yet with enough float, so the cymbal can sing, while protecting it from damage. Overall, I'm glad I made the choice to upgrade to a DW Cymbal Holder. Now I understand why so many professionals use them. My future cymbal stands will definitely be DW.
