Booster and preamp effects pedal for electric bass
With the Darkglass Harmonic Booster the Finnish effects manufacturer is launching a preamp and equaliser pedal specially tuned for clean bass sounds. Based on the core ‘ Tone-Shaping-Engine ’ found in the popular overdrive and distortion pedals, the Harmonic Booster emphasises the attack and presence of the bass signal as the ‘Character-’ control is turned up, whilst shaping the mid-range towards a percussive and aggressive character. In addition, a ‘3-Band-Equalizer ’ with a semi-parametric mid-range band is available for precise fine-tuning of the sound. Last but not least, the Darkglass Harmonic Booster’s Boost control allows the signal level to be boosted or cut by up to 20 dB.

I have other darkglass pedals which I use occasionally. The HB will be on all the time (together with the HL). I play mainly clean and this has brought out clarity and depth of the bass. It has totally transformed my passive Pbass. I thought I would use only to boost during solo but no this will be on full time. It also brings life to the AO and BK3. Best pedal on my board apart from HL
