Accordingly, Sandberg relies on high-quality components manufactured in Korea, which are assembled into the finished electric bass in Braunschweig and subjected to a thorough final inspection, ensuring that this four-string model impresses with the typical Sandberg quality and an attractive price. Featuring a limewood body and a six-bolt maple neck with a ‘C’ profile, this four-string promises classic, comfortable playability, whilst a Sandberg-designed split-coil pickup with active 2-band EQ delivers powerful bass tones ranging from rock, blues and soul to metal. Alongside the tried-and-tested Sandberg Bridge 4, precision open-gear tuners with adjustable torque complete the Sandberg Electra VS4 RW Tobacco Sunburst.
For the Electra VS4 RW Tobacco Sunburst, Sandberg has opted for a classic design that promises a crisp sound and agile handling. Consequently, the limewood body strikes an optimal balance both when slung over the shoulder and resting on the thigh, whilst the six-bolt maple neck, with its flat ‘C’ profile and a nut width of 37 mm, guarantees comfortable playability on the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
The VS4 RW Tobacco Sunburst’s electrical signal conversion is handled by a Sandberg-designed split-coil pickup, which is, of course, positioned in the sweet spot at the centre of the body. Equipped with a substantial pole piece per string, the pickup delivers extremely punchy bass sounds, whose powerful low-mid growl makes every note felt right in the pit of your stomach. For precise tone adjustment, the Sandberg Electra VS4 is also fitted with an active 2-band equaliser.
Last but not least, the Sandberg Electra VS4 RW Tobacco Sunburst impresses with its high-quality hardware. The body features the Sandberg Bridge 4 with three-dimensional adjustable saddles, which allow for optimal adjustment of intonation, string action and string spacing. On the headstock, open-gear tuners with adjustable torque ensure smooth tuning and precise tuning of this four-string guitar.

The frets are jumbo sized, which doesn't help if you like a soft action bass. After setting up and fret-dressing it plays very well. It's a fairly lightweight bass and it looks amazing. Unfortunately, Musicstore shipped it with no other info other than the address and I had to contact a bunch of GLS services before finding the item. It finally arrived, a few days later than the gig that I'd bought it for.
