Shure A15AS Balanced-Line Attenuator

Reliably reduce signal levels and protect preamplifiers from clipping

The Shure A15AS is a switchable in-line signal attenuator for balanced microphone and line signals. It is inserted directly into the XLR signal path and reduces the level by either 15, 20 or 25 dB. This helps to prevent overloading of the microphone preamplifier when signal sources are particularly loud or an input is too sensitive.

The switchable attenuation levels make the A15AS versatile for a range of recording, live and broadcast situations. It is suitable for microphones, line sources and set-ups where the input level needs to be precisely reduced without the need for complex rewiring.

The signal attenuator is also suitable for use with phantom power and requires a balanced signal. With an XLR socket on the input and an XLR plug on the output, the Shure A15AS can be quickly integrated between a microphone, cable, stage box, interface or mixing desk.
