The Casio AP-460 Digital Piano Black is an 88 key digital piano that will please even the most captious player.
Casio's AiR Sound Generation really bring the AP-460's 18 built-in timbres to life, and give them an incredibly realistic an dynamic feel. The full scale keyboard is equipped with tri-sensor-scaled Hammer mechanic II keys, and when paired with the Ebony and Ivory feel you'll be surprised at the level of realism. The keys are also velocity sensitive with three sensitivity steps allowing to play with dynamics. Three pedals (damper, soft and sostenuto) allow you to further play with dynamics.
An innovative feature is the Lid Simulator, which emulates the changes in volume and sound characteristics when a grand piano's lid is open or closed. The AP-450 also features a Key Off simulator, changing the amount of reverberation based on the speed of the key release. A slow release provides longer reverberation, and a faster release providing a short reverberation.
The AP-450 includes a two-track recorder for recording and playing back performances. There are also functions for splitting and layering the piano keyboard, and a duet mode, which enables the piano to be split into two equal ranges and an octave shift mode. Furthermore, digital effects including reverbs and chorus's deliver a sense of depth to your playing.
Four speakers deliver the 256 polyphony sounds to your ears, and are powered by two 20W amplifiers. You have the choice of using the two headphone outs, or line out if you want to play through a PA.
