The Epiphone Flying V 70s is modelled on the distinctive 1970s models, during which the Flying V finally became a rock icon. The two-piece, centre-joined mahogany body is paired with a mahogany neck featuring a Rounded C profile and a volute at the neck-to-headstock junction – entirely in the style of its vintage predecessors. The ebony fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets ensures precise response, whilst the shorter 70s Arrowhead headstock, featuring Grover Rotomatic tuners and a Graph Tech nut, guarantees stable tuning. In terms of tone, Epiphone relies on T-Type PRO humbuckers, which deliver the rich, sustained sound of classic Flying V models. The instrument is rounded off by a LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge, a LockTone Stopbar tailpiece, 70s-style details such as ‘witch-hat’ controls, a matching pickguard and black nickel hardware.
